Willing to perform at his Paik

It's back to work after an explosive weekend and a dilligent Mr. Paik, newly instated minister for Pulau Ubin SMC, is already seen back to work, starting on his plans for the "bright future in lieu with the residents of Pulau Ubin".

Early morning, Mr. Paik was seen enjoying a good whiff of aromatic coffee at the island's one and only S12 kopitiam, the crowd clearly enjoying his charisma and positive outlook, not forgetting his wonderful sense of humour.

S12 kopitiam owner, affectionately known as Ah Ben ( or ben teo ) to residents said "Mr. Paik is a wonderful man, and his presence really livened up the dull morning. It was a refreshing experience to drink coffee at 8a.m. with a minister and to top it off, it was in MY kopitiam. How good can it get?" (Of course, this was written by our super stylo reporter based on what he interpreted as we know that Ah Ben's english standard is anything but above)

Proceeding back to office soon after, Mr. Paik first stopped by Pulau Ubin's central square as many curious onlookers, including the mosquitoes found themselves gathering to listen to what Mr. Paik had to say.

"I thank everyone here once again for voting me in, and it was definitely nerve wrecking to see the votes being counted, not knowing if everyone here voted for me or the opposition. Nonetheless, now that the elections are over, I'm more than happy to have the opportunity for the next 5 years to lead all of you on to "a bright future". But firstly, I would like to announce a few things. Firstly, for the 1 year ahead, Pulau Ubin residents will be offered free seafood! Of which the next two years, seafood will be sold at 80% off and finally for the last two years, 90% off!

Secondly, in line with the advancing technological edge, we'll be installing wireless internet throughout the island, so wherever you go, whatever you're doing, free internet access will be available for you!

Finally, and perhaps the most exciting of all, EVERY SINGLE RESIDENT will get a chance to get upclose and personal with me, and all of us can have a cup of kopi at s12 together and talk about anything under the sun!

Once again, I thank all of you for your support, and look forward to "building a bright future with the residents of Pulau Ubin".

In the afternoon, Mr. Paik walked around the island on foot, stopping to talk to residents along the way and everyone was seen laughing heartily away together with Mr. Paik, showing totally no signs of unease at all.

A resident on the island, Ivana Ng joyously snatched the camera from our photographer and took a photo of himself, claiming that he was really happy with the way Mr. Paik did things on the island and was glad to have Mr. Paik for Pulau Ubin SMC. According to other residents later on, Ivana is the best looking guy on the island.

Another resident, who only wanted to be known as the "I dream" guy, was particularly concerned what welfare malays would be getting. He wondered if his close similarity to Singapore Idol winner, Taufik Batisah would garner him more seafood. "If Taufik can dream why I cannot dream? Sure can lah."

From the outlook of things, we believe that Mr. Paik already won the battle long before the elections began. And we look forward to the "bright future with the residents of Pulau Ubin."

Elections Results 2006

It's official, it's out. The biggest shocker of all, the most one sided victories ever recorded in the history of Singapore.

Mr Paik Poh Leong was today declared the winner of Pulau Ubin SMC, after recording a 5000-0 victory over his rival from the No Name Party, Mr. Char Kway Teow. The first time ever that Pulau Ubin's put in as an SMC, it faced opposition the very first time the Obedient and Discipline Party decided to contest for a spot in Parliament via Pulau Ubin SMC.

"It's definitely the most one-sided victory ever in the history of Singapore, and while it's disappointing that I did not get a single vote, I'm glad to have lost to a worthy opponent like Mr. Paik, who won so emphatically."

Pulau Ubin SMC, populated by a small minority of people, the larger majority of monkeys, fishes, pigs, and definitely, without any doubt, the mosquitoes. This time, the whole population of Pulau Ubin was rallied to put their choice to use, to determine the leader for Pulau Ubin SMC.

"I'm really excited about the future prospects of Pulau Ubin, and I believe, by not being late for school, by doing everything we can together, by doing our homework, by pulling up our socks, by being bonded as a class, we, will definitely have a bright future together. I thank all of you for your support, and promise that we will continue to build a bridge into a common goal and wonderful future together."

Back in mainland Singapore, it is reported that many people are cheering over the wise votes of the Pulau Ubin residents and, er, the animals, and not forgetting the insects, for putting Mr Paik into parliament.

Clorets Singapore, was said to have been delighted by the decision and would be offering a 5 year Clorets Sponsership deal to Mr. Paik and the minority groups on the small island of Pulau Ubin.
A few moments later, Macdonalds Singapore, KFC Singapore and most notably, A&W, the long lost food chain announced plans to build restaurants on the island. Quoting kopitiam talk, the people believe the imminent arrivals of such renowned companies further highlighted the quality of Mr. Paik's capabilities.
