PCK MUSICAL REBATE $$$!

Hi Vivienne,

Do you remember the Phua Chu Kang musical that some students attended last year?

Students from my ex-CT are asking about the Tote Fund subsidy. When will they be receiving their subsidy pay-out?

Regards,
Loke Kok Fei Keefe

HI!

Payout is only available if they had kept their ticket stubs, and the whole
class to do a general
submission to Norien. Some students approached me last year with this question
also.
Unfortunately, we could not help them as they had disposed of their ticket
stubs.

As for your class, I'm afraid I was not aware whether any submission was made.
Norien also did not
indicate to me whether any class made submissions. If there were not class-based
submissions made,
then there would be no payout, I'm very sorry.

Hope this clarifies matters.

Vivienne

Hello Keefe,

Am responding to your reply. As far as I can remember, the Tote Board procedure requires all students to submit ticket stubs as proof of purchase. Plus, a general submission needs to be made via the general office's administrative manager. The submissions must be made with an intact class, i.e., all students must have all ticket stubs available via the CT. This is because of the lengthy verification process. So, did you retain all the ticket stubs for your classes?

The Arts & Aesthetics com has not, and still does not have the authority to handle the paper work. At least, now that Sas is in charge of this com, I have not heard or seen the com undertaking the responsibility. So , I can see that there was a communication gap that perhaps led to you not being able to process the claim in due time, at least, as far as I understand the situation in PJC now.

These procedures are normally communicated by the admin manager to the rest of the staff. As I was relatively new to the admin environment, I took it for granted that all staff knew procedures. At least, that has been the case in the schools I've worked in. My mistaken assumption, perhaps.I'll let Sas and Norien know that this type of information must be "broadcast"more openly and repeatedly.

If I am not mistaken, tote board claims has closed for 2005, my regret is that the payout period is over. I wish I could have been of more help, Keefe.

So I guess we weren't be getting our money. But Mr Loke says if we want we can complain and 'make noise'. He'll support us. We'll have to make a decision as a class whether we accept the 'explanation', and thereafter, what action to take.
