HeY people. surprised tO see me blog ya? ha.. yup i'm a *rare visitor* of the class blog. just this sudden inspiration to visit our class blog and i'm really impressed. Seeing the slideshow, it triggered this... mm.. nostagia feeling in me. i know we've came a long way firstly comprising of quite a bit of 1st 3 mths 05s13 people and quite a few of us from o5A02. i must say.. we really bonded well. maybe the bonds within us weren't really said out. but as a whole, i'm really proud to say i'm glad to be part of 05s12. seriously, our class is mixed with a great and diversed group of ppl =) a fair bit of MC people,sc people, rugby,it,many many others too. Even the addition of Deborah,yy,iris, khairul didnt stop us from bonding with them. i can say we really mixed well. there wasnt such things called politics in our class, there weren't majoR quarrels (of course some is unavoidable) =) but on the wHole, i really think We rock. thinking back, i must admit i wasnt spending exactly most of my time with 05S12... always missing and stuff. but to think that i still feel very attached to each and everyone of u really shows how strong our bond is! to the girls.. i must say, u all had brightened up my life. with laughter, jokes, crap... teasings, erm.. gossipings.. studyings... slackings..during breaks... and everyhinG! i guess 05s12 girls are really a bunch of funky ke ai ppl =) yup. love u all. the guys.. are really a bunch of great helpful funny *like to bully me* yet really nice people. heh.. thinking back... we've came a long way. all the outings, slackings.. everything. i must say, maybe i didnt do a super good job being an ACM (besides helping ivan to say class stand class greet recently) =pP hah..i apologise for that. but, i'll try my best in the near future to try to keep 05s12 spirit burning. maybe its true. we have to support one another. to try to excel and improve as a class just as what mR paik said. the class which managed to improved their grades together. The road ahead isn't going to be smooth and easy.. 05s12, i thank u all for each and every single moment spent together and lets work ahead together for a brighter future. who knows... in mid years, 05s12 *most improved class* heh.. den we'll get some teacher to treat us again ya =pP all the best 05s12.

Today, we mourn for the passing of our beloved friend, Sharing, who has been with us for many years. Noone knows for sure how he died, but we all know that his health deteriorated rapidly when everyone started to neglect him.
Sharing lived by simple principles, such as sharing your food with those who are hungry and sharing your knowledge with others who have doubts.
Sharing's health started to suffer when he was infected with arrogance. People cease to help others who are in need when pride sets in. They feel that their ideas are superior to others' and they feel that there is no need to share their knowledge with others as they assume that they are always right.
Sharing finally gave up the ghost when selfishness invades peoples' heart. Classroom discussions becomes a 1 student(or group) to teacher conversation. When these students ask questions during class discussions, they do not bother speak in an appropriate volume so that the whole class can hear his doubt. In fact, when they raise issues regarding the topic of dicussion in class, they fail to realise the existence of others classmates as they only limit the discussion (ie. by speaking softly) to the teacher and themselves.
Sharing was preceded in death by his parents, Consideration and Helpfulness; his wife,Selflessness and his daughter, Compassion.
Not many attended his funeral as very few realised that he was gone.

PCK MUSICAL REBATE $$$!

Hi Vivienne,

Do you remember the Phua Chu Kang musical that some students attended last year?

Students from my ex-CT are asking about the Tote Fund subsidy. When will they be receiving their subsidy pay-out?

Regards,
Loke Kok Fei Keefe

HI!

Payout is only available if they had kept their ticket stubs, and the whole
class to do a general
submission to Norien. Some students approached me last year with this question
also.
Unfortunately, we could not help them as they had disposed of their ticket
stubs.

As for your class, I'm afraid I was not aware whether any submission was made.
Norien also did not
indicate to me whether any class made submissions. If there were not class-based
submissions made,
then there would be no payout, I'm very sorry.

Hope this clarifies matters.

Hello Keefe,

Am responding to your reply. As far as I can remember, the Tote Board procedure requires all students to submit ticket stubs as proof of purchase. Plus, a general submission needs to be made via the general office's administrative manager. The submissions must be made with an intact class, i.e., all students must have all ticket stubs available via the CT. This is because of the lengthy verification process. So, did you retain all the ticket stubs for your classes?

The Arts & Aesthetics com has not, and still does not have the authority to handle the paper work. At least, now that Sas is in charge of this com, I have not heard or seen the com undertaking the responsibility. So , I can see that there was a communication gap that perhaps led to you not being able to process the claim in due time, at least, as far as I understand the situation in PJC now.

These procedures are normally communicated by the admin manager to the rest of the staff. As I was relatively new to the admin environment, I took it for granted that all staff knew procedures. At least, that has been the case in the schools I've worked in. My mistaken assumption, perhaps.I'll let Sas and Norien know that this type of information must be "broadcast"more openly and repeatedly.

If I am not mistaken, tote board claims has closed for 2005, my regret is that the payout period is over. I wish I could have been of more help, Keefe.

So I guess we weren't be getting our money. But Mr Loke says if we want we can complain and 'make noise'. He'll support us. We'll have to make a decision as a class whether we accept the 'explanation', and thereafter, what action to take.
